Registrations will close on 10th March 2023. If you have not heard from us by 31st March 2023 then unfortunately you have not been successful at securing a mentoring session. Mentees will be selected at random after 11th March 2023. A maximum of 50 people will be selected for a one-to-one mentoring session.

Are you a bright, motivated and curious student who is interested in a fast-paced and stimulating career in Consulting?

Kearney London is opening our Black@Kearney Scholarship Program to support students of Black heritage in their penultimate year of University on their journey into Consulting.

Kearney’s commitment

At Kearney, we seek to encourage and inspire exceptional Black students, and we have pledged to increase and accelerate the intake and representation of Black employees across our firm. We commit to be the difference and lead by example, using our voice, power, and resources to act.

This scholarship is sponsored by Black@Kearney, a network of Black employees and allies aiming to create real change for Black people, both within our firm and in the wider community.

What is the Black@Kearney Scholarship Program?

The scholarship offers a year-long mentorship programme which aims to equip you with the right skillset for the Consulting industry, and a financial stipend of £2,000 to support your university life.

This programme will give you access to our Kearney resources and a dedicated Kearney Mentor. You will be offered:

  • 1:1 tailored mentoring support;
  • Access to the Kearney network and an opportunity to connect with employees from all backgrounds;
  • Coaching on the job application process, including CV skills and competency interview tips;
  • Case interview preparation support to successfully interview at Consulting firms;
  • A financial stipend of £2,000 for the 2022/23 academic year;
  • A fast-tracked application to our Kearney Academy programme, a week-long recruitment event providing insight into life as a consultant and a major first step to joining us full-time in one of our graduate roles.

If chosen, as a Black@Kearney scholar you will be expected to:

  • Act as an informal ambassador of Kearney at your university upholding our core values;
  • Support with the organisation of an event(s) at your university as required;
  • Assist with the promotion of the Black@Kearney Scholarship Program.

Who are we looking for?

We are looking for Black students in their penultimate year of undergraduate studies from any degree or discipline.

Successful candidates will have a fantastic academic record with an expected degree at 2.1 or higher, as well as:

  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills;
  • Top-rate problem solving ability;
  • Brilliant leadership skills and a proven track record of impactful decision making.

Moreover, chosen Scholars will share our passion for essential rightness. This means a deep-rooted belief in the equal and great importance of our advice being both morally upstanding as well as correct; a belief fundamental to who we are as a firm.
